We had our 60+ year old heart pine floors refinished with Dorrance and I am really happy with results. Our floors were in really bad condition and they look incredible now. Not only were they one of the more affordable quotes, but also, as a family business, they were the only flooring contractor to guarantee not to sub out our project. I absolutely love our new floors. Dorrance was great to work with. They solved a lot of issues we had tying in our old floor with our new floor and transitions and around closets and it all looks seamless now. Love that they create a large sample of 4 stain colors on the actual floor to choose from. They laid the hardwood in the master bedroom and into the closets and they did an amazing job. The floors turned out amazing.

I worked with Dorrance on installing new hardwood on 2/3rds of my main level and blending the new floors into existing. From start to finish, this has been an excellent company and team to work with.

Key points: (1) a small, local company that does all their work in-house (no sub-contractors), including demo; (2) gave a reasonable quote (in my opinion); (3) provided timeline and dates, gave timeframes for when we could use the area and not (we were living in house for most of this renovation), very easy to communicate with; (4) came back to finish shoe molding after painters came through (and painted trim); (5) overall went above and beyond to solve some tricky flooring problems that hadn't been repaired right in past.

This team will be my go-to if/when we have any work to be done on our hardwoods in the future. I definitely recommend them.

We have hired Dorrance for two projects, one in our previous home and one in our current home. This is truly a family business that takes great pride in their work. The current job was replacing carpeting in half our main floor with hardwood and matching to the extent possible the existing hardwood. Our new floor looks amazing. Mr Dorrance was very up front that the new floor and old floor (which are painted, who does that?) would not match, but now I want to get the rest of the downstairs flooring to match the new flooring because the new floor looks so spectacular. The work crews were on time, very friendly, and they obviously knew what to do and how best to do it. If you want a floor job that is done right and beautiful, go with Dorrance.

If you are looking for hardwood flooring services, Freddie is your guy! We hired Dorrance Hardwood to refinish our 60+ year old hardwood floors that have taken a beating over the years. Freddie was great - responsive, knowledgeable, & respectful from start to finish! His team did a wonderful job refinishing our entire home in under a week and cleaning up without a trace of dust left behind. They were even able to work out a few water damage stains that we assumed would have to remain. After Freddie and his team were finished, our floors looked brand new and have held up beautifully for months now thanks to Freddie educating us on how to wash/care for them properly. After getting several estimates we went with Dorrance Hardwood Floors. Freddie was very personable, professional & really knowledgeable about hardwood flooring. I had so many questions that he answered and our project was off and running. We had our main floor done with custom red oak, stained natural. He sanded & finished our stairs to match the flooring and the custom registers are the best. The crew was exceptional. Very nice guys!!! They completed the job within the scheduled timeframe.
